The Monarch Pass Tramway – Big Road Trip 2014 Day Six (3 of ??)

We decided to venture upwards…Monarch Pass was nice, but we were craving some time back above the treeline.  Voila, we stumbled upon the oldest tramway in Colorado…and it was closing in less than a week (for the season).  It’s a 700 foot climb via tramway, and worth every minute.

They certainly had excellent wi-fi up there as can be seen (lol), and we really enjoyed the staff.  The views are amazing, we were blessed with perfect weather, and if you’re ever in this area when it’s in season – definitely check it out.  Only a fifteen minute round trip, but you’ll stay longer if you have a day like ours…:)
